3Good and Bad  Feb 21, 2012
By David
I bought this to attach a Topeak multi-tool to my seat post in order to save room in the bad attached to my saddle. The post to which the tool clips works well with a snug clip. However, the strap that goes around the seat post is made of a plastic that is too rigid. When I attempted to disengage the strap to place it around my seat post, approximately 1 inch of the strap broke off of the end. I was willing to accept that as there was plenty of length remaining to go around the seat post. I attached the strap and began tightening it until if felt like it would not slide on the seat post. As I applied the last few turns, the strap broke again. This time right at the edge of the screw. This cannot be used now. I am replacing the strap with 2 zip ties.

3Topeak Drybag  Jan 31, 2012
By James Tripp
Bag looks as tho it will be ok. Will hold an Iphone (without any protecting covers around it). However, the F55 mounting doesn't even rate 1 star. The band Shattered into several pieces as I tried to mount onto my Road Bike..is made out of some sort of brittle, really cheap plastic like material. However, that being said..if you buy this unit, go to your local hardware store and purchase some good 'cable ties'...they have those in the same width as the plastic bracket that came with the unit (some may know these as Zip Ties). Also, so as to avoid the unit shifting around (especially if you mount to the bicycle horizontal frame bar) get some double sided sponge tape to line the curved bracket that goes against the bike. Viola, a phone case that stays where it should. Topeak are you listening???? (after reading the reports herein, I'll be watching the clip for sure my first few rides).

5Works  Sep 14, 2009

Like others have said: It works. you can easily remove the bag, leaving the clip on the bike, for when you leave your bike unattended. it also stays in place. i rode pretty hard on it the other day and it didn't budge. originally i was concerned with the plastic screw keeping it in place but it seems solid. only time can tell. if you want to attach your topeak bag to you bike you only have one place to go and this solution works.

4WORKS GREAT  Oct 31, 2008
By Terry G. Hoffman "biken4fun"
I bought these to mount to my seat post. So I can place my Topeak tool set on. So if I need some small tools while out riding, I have them. Works great.

2Careful with this product  Sep 21, 2011

I consider myself to be a more agressive rider and have had two issues with this strap before removing it from my bike. I had an Alien multitool attached to this product which was mounted to my seat post. The first time out on a trail the multitool came off the clip. If my friend wasnt riding behind me and happened to see it I would have had to purchase another multitool. The second time I was riding on the road (with Mtn Bike) and made too tight of a turn, wiping out in the middle of the road. Again, the multitool came off the clip. If it wasnt for a nice person in a car behind me who informed me I dropped something when I crashed I would have left my multitool behind.

If you are just a leisurely rider, this would probably be a great product. If you are even a bit rowdy when you ride, I would not recommend this product unless you are OK with buying new tools all the time.
