OGIO Hip Hop Messenger Bag Sep 01, 2009
By M. W. Brooks
"Pinstripe Sportsman"
Decent to Very Good. Quality of the canvas, and arrangement/volume of storage compartments are excellent. I ride a motorcycle, so need a sturdy, waterproof bag. Haven't moved into the rainy season here in Seattle, we'll see. I only have 2 real gripes with the bag:
1- I wish it had a 3rd point of contact from the bottom righ hand side (when worn across shoulder) connecting up to the shoulder stap for a more positive control of the bag. (I had a "Buell" bag with this feature that was stolen and have yet to find an equivilent).
2- The left hand (when worn) strap loop (long rectangular plastic) keeps twisting so that instead of being flat with the sewn-in strap and the adjustable shoulder strap nice and smooth, it turns so the straps are scruntched up, and the strap lengthens just a bit.
With that said, I still think this is a pretty good product, one of the best out there, I just have very high standards for what I want in a long distance motorcycle messenger bag (I don't want to get a backpack, or use my saddle bags, because when I get to work this becomes my briefcase, so I want it to maintain a bit of a professional look)
I hope this helps somebody.

Great Bag Nov 04, 2009
By K. Wells
"K."
The bag is a great laptop bag, but for my 17 inch laptop, it's a little tight on the corners when I try to zip it up. Other than that, it's great. It has enough pockets for all of my belongings that I carry on the regular, and it's pretty sturdy, more so than a regular backpack.
The strap is a little awkward, but I only notice it when I first start wearing it. I would recommend it, but honestly with messenger bags I suggest buying them in the store so you know that you like the feel of it. Buying online is a hit or miss. If I had found this one in stores, I would have bought it only if I couldn't find something better.

Good bag if you travel a lot. May 28, 2011
By PGH Overall, if you have a large laptop, it's really hard to find a better bag than this.
I've used this bag for the last 4 years as my primary laptop bag. It comes along on flights, bike rides to work, and walks around the city. It's stylish enough for work but not overly stuffy. The compartment situation is super-convenient. The interior is organized very sensibly and can hold pretty much every electronic gadget that you need to carry in a way that you can find everything easily. When I travel abroad, it can hold my charger, camera, cellphone, wallet, passport, tissues, a couple books, etc. The exterior also has a plane boarding card holder that is convenient for going through security. My main complaint is that the shoulder strap is a little long. I'm 5'6" and the bag is often rubbing my back wheel on the bicycle, and it's a little lower than I would ideally prefer. If you're 5'8" or taller, however, this shouldn't be a problem.

Good quality overall, disappointed with strap design May 21, 2010
By W. Pohlman When I received this bag I was impressed with the design, storage spaces, and quality. I've used it daily for about a year now and it's held up very well. I'm able to fit my widescreen laptop, charger, cables, books, pens, and two liquid containers (water bottle and coffee thermos) in the bag without wanting for extra space.
My only big complaint is the shoulder straps and the plastic strap loops that connect the straps to the bag. The plastic loops do not swivel. With the weight of the bag on the strap, the loops turn sideways and scrunch up the strap where it meets the loops. It's not a show stopper, but its is poor design. It appears that a lot of the OGIO bags have this problem.
Another annoyance I've found is that the bag makes a squeak noise as I walk. It's a small thing, but it gets old--especially when you are walking and talking with another person.

Great quality bag, poor quality strap. Sep 24, 2010
By Rebecca G. Bayer This was my first Ogio product. I'd heard good things about them and their bags seemed to be of high quality. The bag itself is fantastic, but the problem is the strap. It's incredibly uncomfortable and the connectors from the strap to the bag are very low quality plastic. I would've expected a high quality O or D ring for this sort of item, not cheap plastic that binds, especially for the price you're paying. I've only been using it for a month and it's already very uncomfortable because of the strap.
